Dirty work

Do you remember Gordon Brown telling us that all hospital wards were going to be “deep cleaned” to fight infection, although no doctors, nurses, microbiologists or cleaners had ever actually heard of “deep cleaning”.

Has anything actually happened or was this just the usual Brown piffle?

Isn't it a sad commentary on the state of British politics that no-one in the opposition has tabled regular questions at Prime Ministers's Questions, such as "How many hospitals were 'deep cleaned this week?" and "Which ones?"

Simple enough one would think!

Our hospital is being deep cleaned ward by ward. It's quite disruptive. We have done it in the past for special reasons but never before for political reasons
